BOWLING GREEN, Ohio– In the final game of its three-game series, the Akron softball team dropped an 8-2 decision at Bowling Green in Mid-American Conference action on Saturday at Meserve Field.
The Zips fell to to 25-26 overall and 11-10 in the MAC, while the Falcons improved to 24-28 overall and 10-10 in MAC play.
BGSU jumped out to a 4-0 lead, scoring two runs in the bottom of the first and third innings.
Akron scored its two runs in the top of the fourth as junior OF Taylor Kirian (New Riegel, Ohio) hit a two-RBI single to center field, scoring pinch runners Kayla Schosser (Erie, Pa) and Madison Carter (Newnan, Ga.
