Erin Seiler and Paige McMenemy’s strong pitching performances allowed UA’s women’s softball team to take a pair of non-conference games from the Niagara Purple Eagles Tuesday afternoon.

The Zips took game one by a 2-0 count, while the offense blasted 17 hits to win the nightcap 8-0.

The two victories push the Zips’ record to 25-18-1 on the season. The 25 wins equal the total from a year ago with nine games remaining.

Seiler hurled seven innings, giving up just two hits and one walk while striking out five. It was the 25th complete game of the year for Seiler, who was named MAC Player of the Week on Monday.
