Greenville, S.C. – The Akron Zips men's golf team finished fourth out of 19 teams at the 47th Annual Furman Intercollegiate after registering a 293 (+5) final round team score. The Zips finished the 54-hole event at the Furman University Golf Course with a 5-under par 859 strokes led by a fourth place 7-under par 209 stroke effort from sophomore George Baylis (Ascot, England).

Baylis climbed three spots on the leaderboard by firing a final round 2-under par 70 with 16 pars and two birdies.
