Zips Dominate Second-Day Competition at Northeast Ohio Quad

AKRON, Ohio - Sparked by 14 first-place performances and a pair of school records from junior Clayton Murphy (New Paris, Ohio) and sophomore Jackie Siefring (Covington, Ohio), the University of Akron men's and women's track and field teams each registered a trio of dual-meet victories to lead the Zips on the second day of the Northeast Ohio Quad on Saturday, April 16, at the Lee R. Jackson Track and Field Complex.

Crossing the line in a school- and track-record time of 57.61 in the 400-meter hurdles was Siefring, while Murphy posted the fastest time in program history in the 3,000 meters winning the race in 8:19.
