Zips Compete at Day Two of NCAA Championships

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – The Akron women's swimming and diving team competed in three events on day two of the 2017 NCAA Championships at Indiana University's Natatorium in Indianapolis, Ind. on Thursday.

In the 200 IM, sophomore Madison Myers (Akron, Ohio) took 28th place out of 66 swimmers as she touched the wall in a time of 1:57.95.

On the diving boards, senior Paige Kelkenberg (Lockport, N.Y). placed 38th in one-meter diving with a score of 245.35 points. Kelkenberg qualified for the NCAA Championships after finishing eighth in the one-meter event at last weekend's NCAA Zone "C" Diving Championships.
