HUNTINGTON, W.Va.– The Akron Zips out-scored the Marshall Thundering Herd 34-0 to end the first half en route to a 65-38 victory at Joan C. Edwards Stadium on Saturday.
With the win, Akron (2-1 overall) became the first team to ever win twice at Marshall's (1-1 overall) Edwards Stadium. The 65 points are the second most scored by the Zips in program history.
Akron scored on all sides of the ball, finishing with four passing, two rushing, two defensive, and one special teams touchdown while adding a field goal.
