Akron, Ohio – The Akron Zips men's basketball team opened the 2016-17 season on Monday, Oct. 3, with the first official practice of the year at James A. Rhodes Arena.
"It was our first day of practice, and I'm happy with how the team looked," Zips' head coach Keith Dambrot said. "We have a strong nucleus of players, and we have to continue developing our team chemistry and improving our bench. We need 30 good days of practice before we open the season.
