AKRON, Ohio – The Akron women's tennis team registered its 13th straight win with a 5-2 victory over Milwaukee on Saturday afternoon at LaTuchie Tennis Center in Stow.
The Zips improve to 14-2 on the season with the win, while Milwaukee falls to 4-7.
"We weren't as sharp today as we have been lately, but I attribute that to the lack of match play the past two weeks. I feel that tomorrow we will be much sharper on court. Overall, I'm pleased with the win and I am happy we got another quality match in before we open up conference play next Friday," said head coach Brandon Padgett.
