AKRON, Ohio -- Following a weekend off, the Akron Zips women's tennis team returns to action with a road match at West Virginia on Saturday, Jan. 28, at 11 a.m. at the Ridgeview Racquet Club in Morgantown.
The Zips currently sit at 1-1 on the season, while West Virginia is 0-2.
"Our matches are typically very competitive with WVU, and I expect nothing different this time around. If we play to our capabilities, we can win, but each player must be focused, disciplined and ready to play," said head coach Brandon Padgett.
On the opening weekend of the season, Akron fell to Northwestern by a 7-0 score before bouncing back to notch their first win of the campaign with a 7-0 victory over Chicago State.
