AKRON, Ohio - The University of Akron Department of Athletics, the Varsity "A" Association, and the Z-Fund have partnered together to announce the first Alumni Student-Athlete Giving Challenge.
The competition officially kicked off during the 2016 All-Sport Homecoming Reunion, which took place on October 7-8, and will continue until the end of the calendar year. The winner will be crowned after December 31, 2016.
In the first standings update, as of October 21, women's soccer holds the lead with men's basketball and men's soccer in second and third, respectively.
