AKRON – The Akron women's golf team opens the 2016 Fall season at Murray State's Drake Creek Invitational on Monday and Tuesday, Sept 12-13 at the 6,178-yard par 72 Drake Creek Golf Course.
"We are excited for our first tournament at Murray State," head coach Jenny King said. "The golf course is ideal for us to open with because there is a mixture of score-able holes and tough holes."
The Zips starting five was decided last week during qualifying at Portage Country Club. Defending Mid-American Conference Individual Champion sophomore Danielle Nicholson (Geneva, Ohio) enters the season opener at the number one spot.
