Akron, Ohio – For the third consecutive year, Zips' golfer Alejandra Velasco-Villanueva(Guadalajara, Mexico) was named to the Women's Golf Coaches Association All-American Scholar Team.
"Ale works very hard in the classroom," Zips' head coach Jenny King said. "It is no surprise to me that she received this honor for the third time. She sets a great example to our other student-athletes on how to grind it out in the classroom!"
A total of 828 women's collegiate golfers were recognized with this prestigious honor. The criteria for selection to the All-American Scholar Team are some of the most stringent in all of college athletics.
