AKRON, Ohio - A pair of University of Akron track and field team standouts have been tabbed by Track and Field News as favorites to capture titles at the upcoming NCAA Track and Field Championships, June 8-11, in Eugene, Ore.
Junior Clayton Murphy (New Paris, Ohio) was selected as the favorite to claim the men's 1,500-meter title, while senior Claudia Garcia Jou (Barcelona, Spain) was projected to win the women's high jump.
