AKRON, Ohio – Poland native junior Luka Szynal became the second-fastest all-time Polish swimmer in the 100 and 200 meter backstroke at the Polish National Championships this past weekend.
Szynal broke her first polish record on day one of the meet as she comepted in the 200 meter backstroke and placed second with a time of 2:12.28. Her time stands as the second-fastest pace in Polish history.
On day two of the Championships, Szynal continued to impress as she became the second-fastest Polish swimmer in the 100 meter backstroke with a time of 1:01.70.
The junior closed out the Championship weekend with a fourth place finish in the 50 meter backstroke touching in at 29.
