AKRON, Ohio– Sixty-six student-athletes will don their caps and gowns this weekend, as part of the 2,994 University of Akron students, participating in the Spring and Summer 2017 commencement ceremonies.
The 66 graduates will represent all of Akron's 18 athletics programs.
Additionally, two student-athletes have been selected by their colleges to give the graduation address– volleyball's Callie Mack (College of Business), summa cum laude, and rifle's Zachary Strohl (College of Applied Science &Technology), magna cum laude.
A member of the Williams Honors College, Mack has a perfect 4.
