ROCHESTER, Mich. - A 38th-minute goal from Austin Ricci proved to be the game-winning tally which propelled Oakland to a 1-0 men's soccer exhibition victory past Akron on Monday, Aug. 15.
"We weren't sharp enough around goal tonight," Akron head coach Jared Embick commented. "We created many good chances, but we were unable to convert. We then made a mistake in our back half that led to their goal. In the first half, play was too slow and lacked enough intensity. I was pleased with our second half effort.
