Akron, Ohio – The Akron Zips men's basketball team will be sporting new uniforms for the season home opener at James A. Rhodes Arena against American on Thursday, Nov. 17, starting at 7:30 p.m. The new look represents a reinvigorated pride in our University, our City, and Zips Athletics.
The new design for both home and away were inspired by the "Pride of the City" slogan that men's basketball will carry throughout the season. The goal is to strengthen the pride for the University of Akron within community. The home uniforms are white with dark blue trim and accents, while the away are dark blue with white trim and accents.
