AKRON, Ohio – Sophomore Madison Myers (Akron, Ohio) was named the Mid-American Conference swimmer of the week for the second time in three weeks, the league announced Thursday.
Myers was also named the Zips' Student Athlete of the Week, presented by the University of Akron, on Dec. 5.
Myers turned in a phenomenal weekend at the 2016 Zippy Invitational that was capitalized by breaking the Mid-American Conference record in the 100 back, twice.
The sophomore sensation's first record-breaking performance came in the initial leg of the 400 medley relay as she clocked in her 100 back stretch in 53.
