The University of Akron men’s soccer team tied the Bowling Green Falcons on Saturday in Bowling Green, 2-2. The Zips record stands at 8-5-3 and 2-1-1 in the MAC while the Falcons are 9-5-3 and 2-0-2 in the MAC.
Bowling Green’s Tate Robertson got the scoring started early, netting his first goal of the season in the sixth minute. The Zips would fight back to tie the game in the 18th minute courtesy of Marcel Zajac’s second goal of the season off an assist from Sam Gainford.
The Falcons didn’t waste any time, scoring again just two minutes later, with Pat Flynn scoring his fifth goal of the season.
