The University of Akron men’s soccer team (4-2-0) notched its second win in a row after beating fifth-ranked UC Santa Barbara on Monday night by a score of 2-0.

Not only are the Zips undefeated in their four home matches this season, but they also have yet to concede a goal while playing at FirstEnergy Stadium – Cub Cadet Field in Akron.

On Monday, the Zips’ defense made for a pretty easy night for sophomore goalkeeper Ben Lundt, who only had to save one shot the entire match.

Senior captain Adam Najem found the back of the net for the second time this season, scoring a goal just under 11 minutes into the first half.
