AKRON, Ohio – Seniors Annabelle Hegeman (Frostburg, Md.) and Sarah Sivic (Broadview Heights, Ohio) were each named to the 2016 Academic All-Ohio teams by the Ohio Collegiate Soccer Association, announced on Tuesday.
Hegeman, the Zips senior goalkeeper, earned first-team All-Ohio honors, while Sivic, a forward for Akron, was named to the second-team. Hegeman and Sivic earned All-Ohio honors for the second consecutive year.
In 17 starts for the Zips, Hegeman totaled 1,554 minutes of action throughout the season and garnered a 3-11-3 record with one shutout. The Akron keeper boasted a 1.68 goals against average on the strength of 85 saves while allowing 29 goals.
