No. 1 seed University of Akron advanced to the championship game of the 2016 MAC Tournament after beating No. 12 seed Bowling Green Falcons 80-66.
Center Isaiah “Big Dog” Johnson led the Zips with 23 points and six rebounds. Three other Zips scored in double figures.
Antwon Lillard led the Falcons with 12 points.
The Zips will meet the winner of No. 2 seeded Ohio and No. 3 seeded Buffalo at 7:30 p.m. tomorrow.
