BUFFALO, N.Y.- The Akron softball team came away with a 3-2 Mid-American Conference victory over Buffalo on Wednesday afternoon at Nan Harvey Field.
With the win, the Zips improved to 17-21 and 6-6 in MAC play, while the Bulls fell to 8-32 overall and 3-9 in the league.
"We will take the win anyway we can get it," said head coach Julie Jones. "Our offense still wasn't where I would like to see it, but we scored enough and took advantage of their mistakes for the win. We need to be a bit sharper this weekend to be successful.
