CLEVELAND, Ohio –The University of Akron women's swimming and diving team earned 16 selections on the 2017 Mid-American Conference Women's Swimming and Diving Academic All-MAC team, as announced by the league office on Monday morning.
The 16 honorees established a new program record for the Zips. A year ago, the team had 15 Academic All-MAC recipients.
A total of 111 student-athletes were named to the Academic All-MAC team.
The 16 Zips student-athletes selected are: sophomore Emily Christophersen (Nobelsville, Ind.), sophomore Karly Crail (Edgewood, Ky.), sophomore Ragen Engel (Springfield, Ohio), junior Susan Franz (Canton, Ohio), junior Caroline Kaltenborn (Memphis, Tenn.
