Keep at least one eye on the ACC at all times this October. Those five weeks could decide the conference championship and which team will have the best chance to represent the league in the College Football Playoff.
If the ACC’s most important date is Oct. 29, the previous weekend likely comes in second. Before Clemson and Florida State meet in what could be a midseason quarterfinal on the final weekend of the month, both teams have an off week to heal and prepare before the meeting of what could be two top-five, undefeated teams.
The Week 8 bye also comes at a great time for Clemson and Florida State, which each had September bye weeks in 2015.
