Syracuse QB Terrel Hunt's sixth-year appeal denied by NCAA

Syracuse quarterback Terrel Hunt's appeal for a sixth year of eligibility was denied by the NCAA, a school spokesman confirmed Monday to ESPN.com.

Hunt had told The Daily Orange earlier Monday of the NCAA’s decision.

Hunt, who missed 18 games the last two seasons due to injury, had a waiver for a sixth year denied by the NCAA back in November. Hunt suffered a season-ending Achilles injury in the first quarter of the first game of the 2015 season and he missed the final seven games of 2014 because of a broken leg.
