Now that Syracuse has fired Scott Shafer, the work begins to find a new head coach.
Should that list include Ed Orgeron?
The former Ole Miss coach and current assistant at LSU told Bud Poliquin of the Syracuse Post-Standard that his interest would be very high in the job. Orgeron spent time at Syracuse as an assistant from 1995-97.
"First of all, my days at Syracuse were fantastic," Orgeron told Poliquin. "I learned a lot under Coach [Paul] Pasqualoni. I know Coach [Dick] MacPherson and a lot of ex-players and a lot of players who are there now.
