SYRACUSE, N.Y. -- Due to a leaked bracket midway through the CBS Sports Selection Sunday Show, Orange fans were able to breathe a sigh of relief early.
Syracuse (19-13) earned a 10-seed in the Midwest region, and will play 7-seed Dayton (25-7) on Friday. It will be a rematch of their Round of 32 matchup two years ago in Buffalo.
"This is the happiest that I've been on Selection Sunday in all my years of coaching," Jim Boeheim said. "I couldn't be happier for the team. We played 19 games in this league, and every one of them was as difficult as it could be.
