In spite of a second straight postseason appearance to cap 2015, there’s not exactly the same air of optimism as NC State opens spring practice that existed just a year ago. A bowl blowout, a new offensive coordinator, a new QB and a tougher schedule all add up to big questions for Dave Doeren and the Wolfpack. Here are a few of the big storylines to monitor.
1. What’s the offensive identity?
Matt Canada was abruptly fired after last season, replaced by former Boise State assistant Eli Drinkwitz. Jacoby Brissett is off to the NFL, with a QB battle — Jalan McClendon enters with a slight edge over Jakobi Meyers — ready to ramp up.
