It was easy for a national audience to forget Clemson was without its top receiver last season as the offense scorched opponents for nearly 40 points per game.
But the Tigers were missing receiver Mike Williams, whose campaign for back-to-back 1,000-yard seasons ended after a few minutes. On the first series of the season, a collision with the goalpost on a touchdown catch fractured Williams’ neck. He missed the rest of the season.
Williams would like to reintroduce himself to college football this spring. He’s participating in spring drills in a non-contact capacity, and Clemson mic’d Williams up for a practice.
