There were a lot of fans and alumni offering Miami athletic director Blake James advice before he fired Al Golden earlier this week. It looks as if there are even more people finagling for a piece of James’ ear now.
Matt Porter of the Palm Beach Post collected the thoughts of several people connected to the Miami program, including former players. Miami alumni, especially players part of the Canes’ dynasties, have been vocal about finding a coach that can return Miami to its position atop college football.
Joaquin Gonzalez, a lineman on the 2001 national championship team, said Butch Davis, Mario Cristobal, Greg Schiano and Rob Chudzinski should be interviewed.
