After some inconsistent outings of late, the Louisville Cardinals will look to come out strong against a physical defensive team in Boston College at noon ET Saturday on ESPN2.
Following its first loss of the season at Clemson, Louisville overcame an emotional hangover and stumbled to an ugly 24-14 home win over Duke. The Cardinals then looked to have recovered with a 54-13 thrashing of North Carolina State, but they struggled again with an inferior opponent, needing a last-minute drive to get past Virginia 32-25.
Lamar Jackson is still playing like the Heisman favorite, though, as his numbers on the year are sensational through eight games.
