Louisville falls in overtime to Puerto Rico

University of Louisville basketball coach Rick Pitino said even in a loss his team "played great and showed good effort, that was a good game," on Thursday night in the Mario Morales Coliseum.

The Cardinals led for much of the game but saw the Puerto Rican National Team tie it late in regulation and then dominate a four-minute overtime period for a 102-94 victory before about 2,000 fans.

"Much better," Pitino said. "This was by far our best performance. What we worked on in our walkthrough was - (Puerto Rico) switched yesterday, trying to take Louisville out of their offense, and it worked.
