The North Carolina Tar Heels came within seconds of getting a chance to hang another banner in Chapel Hill, but the month of May has been full of good news as both Kennedy Meeks and Justin Jackson withdrew their names from the NBA Draft and will be returning for the 2016-17 season.
The Tar Heels lose some important components of what made them successful last year, including Marcus Paige, Brice Johnson and Joel James, but don’t forget that they had arguably the deepest roster in the country, sometimes going as deep as pulling their ninth player from the bench.
