CLEMSON, S.C. – Florida State has a very good team, with very good players and a very good coach.
While that might not making losing to Clemson any easier to take, it should help keep what is happening this season in perspective. When the year began, it was widely believed this would be a rebuilding year, considering the heavy personnel losses. That is a big reason why the Seminoles played an easier nonconference schedule than usual, to help guide a young team into what would be a tougher season.
It also is a big reason why the Seminoles were picked to finish second behind Clemson in the Atlantic Division.
