Louisville only needed a field goal to win, but Bobby Petrino trusted his Heisman Trophy front-runner to make the right decision.
Lamar Jackson did just that, and in the process, might have saved the Cardinals' season. His 29-yard touchdown pass to Jaylen Smith with 13 seconds to play helped No. 5 Louisville escape Saturday with a 32-25 win over Virginia and remain in the College Football Playoff picture.
The throw itself was impressive enough from Jackson. The Virginia defender was in good position, but the only person who could have caught it was Smith.
