Louisville defensive coordinator Todd Grantham freely admits he did more than his fair share of mixing and matching personnel through the first three weeks of the season to try to find the right combination.
So much focus in the early going has been on the rebuilding offense that some might forget Louisville had to replace six starters on defense. There have been a few hiccups along the way, but Grantham believes his defense has shown improvement over the last few weeks, especially in a 20-13 win over NC State.
There are plenty more tests to come, starting Saturday against Florida State.
