How recruiting can improve Duke's pass rush

A look at Duke's biggest position need for 2016 and how the Blue Devils are addressing it in recruiting:

Biggest need: The root of Duke’s defensive meltdown in the season’s second half? That would be a pass rush that sacked opposing quarterbacks three times over the last six games.

On the year, the Blue Devils finished with 17 sacks, nearly dead last among Power 5 schools, and eight of those sacks came against Tulane, North Carolina Central and Army. During a four-game losing streak, they reached the quarterback twice.

For the defense to rebound in 2016, the Blue Devils will need to reinforce their pass rush off the edge.
