By any measure, it was a bad year for the offensive line at Louisville. For offensive coordinator Garrick McGee, this wasn’t entirely surprising.
Two true freshmen saw action at tackle. A redshirt freshman worked at guard. A first-year transfer was on the line, too. Experience was thin, and the results were predictably ugly.
“When you have that, you’ll have some growing pains,” McGee said of the young line. “That’s just how it works.”
