A week after announcing he will leave USC prior to the Trojans’ bowl game, recruitment has picked up for graduate-transfer quarterback Max Browne.
Browne will take an official visit to Pittsburgh this weekend, a source told ESPN.com, but he remains open to all possible transfer locations. The Panthers sent a coach to Los Angeles last week for an in-home visit with Browne, who was the No. 2-ranked quarterback in the Class of 2013 and the 2012 Gatorade National Player of the Year.
Several to-be-determined factors are expected to play a role in where Browne winds up, including coaching changes, early departures for the NFL and other transfers.
