Former Pitt QB Chad Voytik transfers to Eastern Kentucky

Chad Voytik has found a new home, as the former Pitt quarterback will play at FCS Eastern Kentucky next season.

Voytik told the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review’s Jerry DiPaola that his relationship with Eastern Kentucky offensive coordinator Angelo Mirando helped with the decision, as Mirando was Mississippi State’s receivers coach when the Bulldogs recruited Voytik out of high school.

“He reached out to me and said he would love to have the opportunity to coach me,” Voytik told the newspaper.

Voytik, who had announced at the end of last season that he planned to transfer, will graduate from Pitt this month and be eligible to play at Eastern Kentucky immediately.
