NEW ORLEANS -- Not many players at The Opening New Orleans regional were as impressive as ESPN Junior 300 running back Cam Akers. The fifth-ranked running back in the country and the 47th-ranked player overall ran an impressive 4.44 seconds in the forty-yard dash as well as logging 40.5 inches in the vertical jump.
With his play, it’s easy to see why schools from all over the country are lining up to try and land the former Alabama commit.
While Akers doesn’t have a list of top schools quite yet, there are several schools, including Alabama that are still in the mix for the talented Clinton (Mississippi) High School prospect.
