Florida State was the lone ACC team to crack the top 10 of the Associated Press’ rankings of the top 100 college football programs of the 80-year poll era, as the Seminoles checked in at No. 9.
Miami (No. 13), Clemson (No. 22) and Pitt (No. 23) rounded out the ACC’s contingent in the top 25, as the league had the third-most top 25 teams behind the SEC (eight) and Big Ten (seven).
Notre Dame was No. 3 on the list, trailing No. 2 Oklahoma and No. 1 Ohio State.
The AP determined its all-time top 100 by relying on its poll history, with one point going for each appearance, two points going for No.
