Miami closed out the 2017 strong under Mark Richt and are off and running in 2018 with a bevy of ESPN Jr300 verbals. With six ESPN Jr300 commits already in the fold, the Hurricanes added the highest ranked recruit yet in the junior class on Thursday when No. 45-overall Lorenzo Lingard committed.
Significance of impact: Miami has enjoyed success at home under Richt in 2017 and 2018 with six commitments in Dade and Broward Counties. The win Thursday was out of Central Florida, and a big one with Lingard having offers from closer to home Florida, Florida State and a number of SEC programs.
