Clemson's run to the College Football Playoff National Championship Presented by AT&T earned its assistant coaches some extra job security and extra cash.

The school's board of trustees approved raises Friday for 22 members of the football staff, according to the Greenville (S.C.) News. The staff collectively earned a $1.085 million raise, with 16 of head coach Dabo Swinney's contract staffers being rewarded with two-year contract extensions, effective Feb. 1, 2016.

The biggest raises came for Jeff Scott and Tony Elliott, who, after their first years as co-offensive coordinators, received $225,00 upgrades to $625,000 per year.

Defensive coordinator Brent Venables, already among the nation's highest-paid assistant coaches, received a bump from $1.
