Clemson coach Dabo Swinney did his best Wednesday to downplay the losses of three players sent home for a violation of team rules, but the X's and O's do change a bit.
The loss of Ammon Lakip for the Capital One Orange Bowl changes Clemson’s kicking game, with Swinney bluntly saying “we’ll roll with Greg Huegel.” But it was just two games ago that Swinney pulled the plug on Huegel as the team’s kicker on point-after tries. The freshman missed five attempts this season, tied for the most by a Power 5 kicker.
