Best case
The arrival of Dino Babers has Syracuse fans excited about the future. The bigger question, however, is just how soon that optimistic version of the future can arrive. Babers will inject some much-needed life into the offense immediately, and there’s enough talent at the skill positions -- from emerging QB Eric Dungey to versatile receivers Brisly Etime, Steve Ishmael and Ervin Philips to young tailback Jordan Fredericks -- to think there could be some immediate success that emerges from Babers’ up-tempo style.
