University of Louisville junior quarterback Will Gardner has looked the part of the starting quarterback through three practices for the Cardinals. He suffered a season-ending knee surgery against Boston College last season after starting seven games. Gardner is battling for the starting spot with four other U of L quarterbacks.
University of Louisville football coach Bobby Petrino said he was "surprised" how far along junior quarterback Will Gardner was after just a few days of fall camp.
Gardner, who had his third knee surgery after getting injured against Boston College last season, is back and said he feels "better than ever" as he battle four other quarterbacks for the starting position.
