Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes knows the money will come in time. Just as when he eschewed potential sponsorships as a rookie in 2017 for the sake of staying out of the spotlight, Mahomes once again provided an interviewer with the right answer when asked about the rumors he could sign a $200 million contract as early as next spring.
Michael Strahan was the one asking questions on Friday to Mahomes, who cut in remotely for an interview from Atlanta as he participates in various NFL activities during Super Bowl festivities. Strahan asked a number of questions about his incredible season, his meeting with Tom Brady after the loss to the New England Patriots, and finally about the rumors of a potentially lucrative extension that he will be in line for after the 2019 regular season.
