Phillip Gaines had a solid rookie season with the Kansas City Chiefs in 2014.
Gaines started 13 games with four passes defensed. Kansas City had a good defense when it came to stopping the pass that year as well. The Chiefs ranked second in the NFL only behind the Seattle Seahawks who would go on to play for the Super Bowl. Gaines still has yet to record an interception in his NFL career which could be the biggest knock on him when compared to someone like Marcus Peters.
In 2014, the Chiefs only had six interceptions all season.
